Epidote, Ca2Al2(Fe3+;Al)(SiO4)(Si2O7)O(OH).
The anisotropy, or directional asymmetry, of epidote causes the stone to appear different colors from different directions. The crystal structure bends light differently depending on the path, appearing to you as a color change.
This picture shows a bluish-green for the crystals on the left, and a more yellow-green on the right.

The seventh release on Copenhagens Teal Recordings is a little hint of what can be expected from Beastie Respond very first full length album and the first album project on the label. The album is entitled Fictitious Nostalgia – for Tobias, this is a title that fits his own overall feeling and the way he perceives the album sonically and style-wise. With his 23 years of age he has never experienced the 80’s first hand, but in a strange way he feels musically connected with this period of time. This fictitious nostalgia is what is being expressed on the album.
The A-side on the EP is a collaboration between Beastie Respond and the anonymous singer Alia Fresco. The very slightly melancholic and soulful vibes makes this song a worthy successor to Beastie Respond’s debut release Syncopy. This track has received frequent radio airplay in Denmark as well as Londons Rinse.fm and gained support from the likes of dBridge, Loxy and Blocks.
B1 is the only actual drum n bass track off the album. It has a real dusty and hazy vibe. The title UL90 refers to a certain casette tape which was used for recording several of the tracks for this tune.
B2 is exclusively to be found on the album sampler and will not be a part of the actual album. However, the track’s aesthetics is roughly the same as with the album, but put into a more distinct contemporary context.
